Dell NetWorker Implementation and Administration

Dell NetWorker Implementation and Administration

About the Course

This comprehensive five-day course is designed to provide backup administrators and software support specialists with the technical expertise needed to deploy, manage, and optimize the Dell NetWorker ecosystem. As data environments become increasingly complex, this program focuses on building a unified data protection strategy that spans across Windows, Linux, and virtualized environments (VMware). Students will learn how to navigate the shift from traditional backup silos to a centralized, software-defined protection architecture.

The curriculum covers the entire lifecycle of a NetWorker solution—from initial infrastructure planning and installation to advanced operations like cloning, staging, and disaster recovery. Through a combination of detailed theory and rigorous hands-on labs, participants will master the use of the NetWorker Management Console (NMC) and the NetWorker User Interface (NWUI) to orchestrate protection policies, manage media databases, and ensure SLA compliance.

By the end of this training, administrators will be proficient in managing high-performance backup devices, including integrated PowerProtect DD systems. Students will also gain critical skills in “backup-of-the-backup” strategies, learning how to recover the NetWorker server itself to ensure organizational resilience against site-level failures or cyber threats.
