The objective of this program is to prepare students who have entry-level to intermediate knowledge of Information Technology (IT) to gain knowledge and skills in the area of security within the field of IT. This preparation should produce students who are capable of fulfilling the role of an IT security administrator in a small, medium, and/or large IT infrastructure.
This program is comprised of content drawn from 3 course which are well-regarded within the IT security field, namely the Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and CompTIA Security+. Over the span of two 6-week terms, students will be exposed to course curricula from these three certification courses, in preparation for successfully passing the certification exams for the three related courses.
Upon Completion of the program requirements, students will be able to sit for the following third-party, information technology certification exams:
- (ISC)2 Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) Exam
- EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Exam
- CompTIA Security+ Exam
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
