Adobe XD Core Skills

Description

Duration: 3 Days

Overview

This three-day course includes an overview of the interface, including how to use tools, panels, and how to switch between Design and Prototype modes. You will learn how to create new files, set up artboards, and use UI kits, which are integrated into XD. You will learn to design on a grid to efficiently adapt designs for various devices including tablets and mobile phones.

In the next part of the course, you will learn to use the tools in XD to add design elements to your website or app. Lesson content includes how to set up artboards, import text, import photos, import vector graphics, and create layers. You will learn to use color, save color swatches, create effects such as drop shadows and bevels, and modify opacity. Symbols are reusable elements, and repeat grids are used to quickly design and layout more complex pages. In this class, you will learn how to create and modify symbols and repeat grids.

Take your static design to the next level by creating a functional interactive prototype. In this part of the class, you will learn how to link artboards, pages, and buttons to create interactions. You can then record the use of an interactive prototype to share with others, or generate a link to share XD files online to gather comments and provide updates.

Finally, you will learn to export assets and artboards to SVG and PNG format for developers and programmers to integrate into final production versions of sites and apps.
