What is E-Sports?
Any video game played competitively is considered an esport.
Currently, there are millions of esports fans worldwide and the esports industry is growing rapidly. Opportunities for a career as a professional gamer are constantly emerging, with professional leagues or tours for Street Fighter, League of Legends, Overwatch and others. Even traditional sports are getting in on the action. This summer, the NBA is starting the professional NBA2K League. The NBA2K League and other esports leagues are offering gamers guaranteed salaries, housing, and benefits.
Esports are similar to traditional sports in that only a few become professionals. With that in mind, we help our members understand the career opportunities that the leagues, teams, and ecosystems around the gaming industry present. We want them to know that there are jobs as coaches, tournament organizers, commentators, graphic designers, videographers, writers, data & analytics specialists, brand managers, and salespeople.
Esports Training Academy
Are you seeking a local community of gamer’s with similar interests? Have you always wanted to play one of the biggest games out right now such as Counter-Strike CS:GO, Smash, League of Legends, Apex Legends and Fortnite on top-notch gaming PCs? Well, The Academy’s brand new e-sports training center is your one-stop-shop for everything gaming. We have recently partnered with some of the biggest companies that offer gaming services in South Florida such as Game Gym and East Coast Gaming. We are proud to announce that we will be hosting these same services such as tournaments and hosting training camps by our gym membership. Whether you’re casually playing or competing, there’s a room for you in our gym. For Gym Members, we have supervised practice areas with coaches ready to help. Holistically, we think of our gamers, so we feature industry professionals presentations on problems like cyberbullying, video game addiction, health & nutrition, and gaming industry careers.

How it works: Similar to a normal Gym, the membership grants you access to the Gym and our programming. From there, which classes you attend and how often you come are up to you!

Smash I – M&W – 4:30-6:00 w Coach Alex and Coach Gabe
Smash I is for our developing Smash competitors. They are familiar with the game and are working to develop their skills and learn the ins and outs of the characters. In this course, we will cover the basics of competitive Smash and work towards competing in our own Smash Tournament Series. Super Smash Bros Tournaments will be offered monthly in the esports training academy.
Fortnite I – M&W – 6:00-7:30 w Coach Fernando
Fortnite 1 is for our developing Fortnite competitors. They are familiar with the gaem and are working to develop their skills and learn the ins and outs of the characters. Fortnite Tournaments will be offered monthly at the esports training academy.
Overwatch I – M&W – 4:30-6:00 w Coach Alex and Coach Nate
Overwatch I is for developing or new to competitive Overwatch. We will go over the basics of the game, different team compositions, roles of the different champions, and lay the foundation for playing as a team. Our goal is to learn about the different champions and what role fits your gamer best. Overwatch Tournaments will be offered monthly at the esports training academy.
Apex Legends I – M&W – 6:00-7:30 w Coach Andy and Coach Nate
Apex Legends I is for developing or new to competitive Apex Legends. We will go over the basics of the game, different team compositions, roles of the different legends and lay the foundation for playing as a team.
General Esports – T&Th – 4:30-6:00 w Coach Alex
Our world tour of esports, this class is for those who love gaming and esports, but aren’t quite sure what their games are yet. Over the course of the season, we will cover League of Legends, Overwatch, Super Smash Bros, Rocket League, and others. Our emphasis will be on learning the games while focusing on communication, leadership, and sportsmanship skills.
CSGO/FPS I – T&Th – 6:00-7:30 – Coach Alex
For those 14 (and up and with permission from their parents), we are offering classes in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and other FPS games like Team Fortress 2, Quake Champions, and Apex Legends. These FPS games are team-based and require skill, communication, and lightning-fast reflexes. This class will cover the basics of the games and teach the skills necessary to work together as a team. Esports Tournaments will be offered monthly at the esports training academy.
Level II – Private Lessons – $40/hour
Want to learn a new skill or champion? Or need a little extra boost to get you going? We can pair you up with one of our coaches to give you useful and fun one-on-one instruction.
VOD Reviews – $20/review
Our experienced coaches will review your competitive matches and give you thoughtful feedback on your play.

The Esports Training Academy presents monthly tournaments on your favorite game focusing on a positive competitive experience for players wanting to improve their game. It is our goal to provide a place where people can learn, play, and develop their skills in a welcome and safe environment.
$5 Entry Fee and $5 Venue Fee
All Eports Training Academy Gym Members have their entry fee covered through their memberships.
