Foundations of Business Analysis

About the Course

Inaccurate problem definition and incomplete requirements are primary drivers of project failure. Industry data consistently shows that a majority of organizations struggle with requirements management, leading to costly rework and scope creep. The Foundations of Business Analysis course is designed to mitigate these risks by teaching practitioners how to effectively bridge the gap between stakeholder vision and technical execution.

This two-day program introduces the core competencies required to identify genuine business needs and translate them into actionable project requirements. Students will explore a standardized framework for engaging stakeholders, eliciting information, and managing the requirements lifecycle from initial concept through final solution evaluation. By mastering these fundamental skills, participants ensure that every project outcome delivers measurable value and aligns with the overarching strategic goals of the enterprise.

This course is endorsed by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) and aligns with industry best practices. It provides a structured environment for both new and experienced professionals to formalize their approach to business analysis. Upon completion, students will be equipped with a robust toolkit of techniques to improve communication, minimize project misalignment, and drive successful business transformations.
