MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Plus Security

Description

Duration: 9 days

The Academy’s MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Plus Security covers the new features and enhancements for transforming virtualization and cloud computing, which have been made available with Windows Server 2016. It is designed to assist you in gaining a level of proficiency that can only be taught through hands-on labs, simulations, and the real-world application of skills. Our intensive, instructor-led course equips students with valuable knowledge and skills that directly transfer from the classroom to the workplace. This course will also offer a security elective such as the 20744B: Securing Windows Server 2016 (Exam 70-744)

This is an accelerated course, designed for computer professionals that require effective, real-world skill-building and timely certification.

This 9-day bootcamp is a combination of the following official Microsoft courses:

  • 20740B Installation, Storage, and Compute with Windows Server 2016; Exam 70-740
  • 20741B Networking with Windows Server 2016; Exam 70-741
  • 20742B Identity with Windows Server 2016; Exam 70-742
  • 20744B: Securing Windows Server 2016; Exam 70-744

This 9-day boot camp consists of a four part series that collectively covers implementing, managing, maintaining, provisioning services, infrastructure and securing in a Windows Server 2016 environment. This course covers the initial implementation and configuration of core services including Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), networking services, and Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2012 configuration. This course covers the administration tasks necessary to maintain a Windows Server 2012 infrastructure such as Implementing Server Images, User and Group management with Active Directory Domain Services(AD DS) and Group Policy, Remote Access and Network Policies, Data Security, Monitoring and Update Management. This course covers advanced configuration of services necessary to deploy, manage and maintain a Windows Server 2012 infrastructure, such as advanced networking services, Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), identity management, rights management, Federated services, network load balancing, failover clustering, business continuity and disaster recovery.

At course completion

After completing this course, students will be able to:

  • Prepare and install Nano Server, a Server Core installation, and plan a server upgrade and migration strategy.
  • Describe the various storage options, including partition table formats, basic and dynamic disks, file systems, virtual hard disks, and drive hardware, and explain how to manage disks and volumes.
  • Describe enterprise storage solutions, and select the appropriate solution for a given situation.
  • Implement and manage Storage Spaces and Data Deduplication.
  • Install and configure Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage Windows and Hyper-V containers.
  • Describe the high availability and disaster recovery technologies in Windows Server 2016.
