Wondering what you’ll do next year after you graduate from high school? CareerSource Broward wants to help you! They are currently accepting applications to their youth scholarship program for career training.
This new youth scholarship program offers eligible youth the opportunity to get on the express track to higher earning in an “in-demand” career. No ACT or SAT scores required! Eligible youth must be:
- Graduating in June or already a high school graduate
- Motivated to continue their education in a career training program
- Eager to complete career training in two years or less
- In need of financial assistance to continue their education
- Able to read at the required grade level for the program they choose
- Interested in one of the CSBD’s approved training programs
Interested youth will be required to complete the program application and participate in the assessment and intake process which verifies eligibility for the program, measures reading level, and matches the youths’ skills and interests to available training.
- Once selected and enrolled in the program, you will:
- Complete employable skills training
- Receive assistance to pay for school
- Be eligible for transportation assistance
- Be matched with a paid internship, so you can “earn while you learn”
- Receive placement assistance once you complete your training program
Successful participants of the CareerSource Broward Youth Scholarship Program will graduate from their selected training program in two years or less with in-demand skills and high earning potential!
