Instance versus database, memory structures, background processes and storage.
Module 2: Installation and Configuration
Installing the software, creating a database, and configuring the listener and network.
Module 3: Managing Storage and Users
Tablespaces, data files, undo, temporary space, users, roles and privileges.
Module 4: Backup and Recovery
Backup strategies, RMAN, archive log mode, and practising a real recovery.
Module 5: Performance and Maintenance
Monitoring tools, statistics, common bottlenecks, patching and routine health checks.
