Miami Local Security User Group Meeting

NetworkSamurai.org present the Miami Local Security User group. This is a somewhat monthly meeting of Security Professionals or Enthusiasts open to the Public. Call for Presentations are opened to anyone and selected by the organizer. This month The Academy of Florida was very nice to let us have the use of a class room for our user group.

Who Should Attend

Whether you are an experienced cybersecurity professional, an IT student pursuing certifications like CompTIA Security+ or Cisco CCNA, or simply someone curious about information security, this group welcomes all skill levels. Networking with local security professionals is a great complement to any IT training or certification program you may be pursuing in the Miami or Fort Lauderdale area.

The focus of the special presentation this month is an overview of wireless with a special focus on how others are using open hotspots (like the ones at starbucks) in a malicious fashion. This is a great opportunity for both seasoned security professionals and newcomers to learn about real-world wireless threats and best practices for staying protected.

These meetings are a valuable resource for IT professionals in the Miami area looking to stay current on cybersecurity trends, vulnerabilities, and community-driven knowledge sharing.
